Blackpool Tournament

This was our first trip out of Scotland, and also our first taste of 11-a-side football. We traveled down to sunny Blackpool in Lancashire for the Pontins Tournament between the 4th and 7 May 2007. It was considered as a learning experience, any win would be a bonus, and the boys won their first game 5-0! with Sammy netting a hat-trick and Jordan and Craig scoring also. We lost the next 2 games on the saturday 1-0 and 2-0 respectively, and the boys lost the 2 games on the Sunday as well. Considering they were 6 months younger, inexperienced at 11-a-side, and with 2 new players who had never played in the team before, and only 1 sub, they did well!
